Before we give, we receive.
Before we pour out, we are filled.
We receive the extravagant love of God, the grace we could never earn, and the gift of Christ - God giving Himself to us.
And the end-of-year season reminds us of this in the most beautiful way:
God is a God who gives.
The Christian life begins not with what we can offer God, but with what He has already given us.
02. DELIGHT
Then, we delight.
What happens when we slow down long enough to recognize what we’ve received?
Our hearts awaken.
We taste His goodness, notice His beauty, marvel at His generosity, and delight in the Giver and in His gifts.
And delight changes the way we live.
Because when something has truly captured our hearts, we don't want to keep it to ourselves.
03. OVERFLOW
Then, it overflows.
What fills us eventually flows through us.
Generosity isn't merely an obligation. It can be an overflow. An overflow of gratitude, joy, worship, and delight.
We give because we have received.
We give from abundance, not scarcity.
